Personal Training is specially catered and designed to our client’s schedule and fitness requirements.  Usually a 1 hour session, this is scheduled accordingly to the client’s time/day of convenience.  Be it twice a week or even every day.

We cater to clients with varied needs.  Be it weight management, general fitness, body sculpturing, sports specific performance enhancement or Body Building.

A customized program means nothing is generic. Our main objective is to understand and to ascertain exactly what your requirements are, assess and determine your physical blueprint (body) and structure everything based on this.

Our Concept

At CROSSTRAINERS we don’t consider an individual fit just because he or she has great muscular strength or has great stamina or the flexibility of a contortionist.

Our definition of Fitness means that an individual must have a reasonable combination comprising of ALL the requisites below.

STRENGTH + FLEXIBILITY + VO2 MAX(Cardiovascular/Stamina strength)

And this must be combined with a Holistic, stress-manageable lifestyle. Only then can one be said to have a Fit and Balanced body. This is our philosophy and we work with all our clients in achieving this​.

THE FIRST STEPS

A highly detailed assessment is conducted at the very start, regardless of your fitness level.

This way, we get the full picture of what might need to be done.

Step 1 – We test your fitness level..

We first check on BIOMECHANICAL ability/Physical restriction and the ability to execute certain simple daily movements without any problems. Some form of physical movement restriction that prevents one from executing partially or completely, sometimes with pain, sometimes without.  It could be due to a deformity, injury, etc. Reasons that we will have to determine.

Step 2 – We test how strong you are..

Ascertain your overall muscular strength.

Step 3 – Figure out your stamina..

Ascertain your cardio vascular (VO2 max) strength.

Body Alignment :

Is your posture, specifically cervical, thoracic or lumbar spine properly aligned? Is one shoulder higher than the other?

Ascertain your overall level of flexibility.

Medical History:

Are there any pre-existing or previous medical conditions that hinders or restricts your present ability to execute any form of exercise and to what degree.

Eating habits:

Understand your present eating pattern and habits.

SPECIAL NEEDS

We can work closely with your doctors, orthopedic surgeon, medical professional, specialist and physiotherapist to assist you on your personal fitness journey.

Kids as young as 8 years old, 85 year old matured individuals, handicapped/physically challenged individuals, individuals with pre/post surgery concerns, pre/post pregnancy, recovering reconstructive surgery patients, cardiac conditions and some in cancer remission.

A majority of our initial focus is usually concentrated on helping you regain strength, range of movement, mobility, flexibility, balance, agility, strength, coordination and at the same time to gently build/rebuild/improve your cardio vascular strength.

Ultimately in many cases, our core objective is to help you fully regain physical function and your independence.

We know you require special consideration when designing your fitness programs.

Whether it is health concerns such as cardiovascular disease or a special need such as pregnancy, we will identify and address these conditions prior to conducting assessments and designing your fitness program.

Our programs are low-to-moderate in intensity and progress gradually. The nature of the program depends on your current health status and physical condition, as well as any other factors identified in the interviewing or screening process.

We also maintain in close communication with your health provider to obtain and adhere to his or her recommendations and guidelines for programming.

Fitness For Kids

Fun, challenging, adaptable and effective are our pre-requisites for any Kid’s Personal Training program.

Unfortunately with modern sophistication a lot of simple hand to eye co-ordination activities and sports are being replaced with the lap top, computer games and a whole array of electronic devices.

Fitness For Teenagers

Agility, balance, strengthening, stamina building, co-ordination, flexibility and nuero-muscular building are mainly the areas of focus placed on our Kid’s PT Program.

All of which surprisingly can assist with a child’s confidence, focus and concentration in school and character foundation and development.
