Message From Our Founder
Hi.. My name is Alvin Cheah

My passion for health and fitness, led me to becoming a Certified Personal Trainer.
I strongly believe in the necessity for an active lifestyle, encompassing a balance of all the compulsory components of fitness. Over the years, it has given me great satisfaction to pass along my knowledge and enthusiasm with the highest standard of service, safety and professionalism to those wanting to adopt a lifestyle of physical and mental well-being.
I believe that working with a personal trainer is the first step to improving your health and fitness.

People of all shapes and sizes, people with all types of goals have been proven to have better success when working with me.
At Crosstrainers we have over 12 trainers that have all different backgrounds so that our clients can get the results they want.
Our company is built on the foundation of empowering individuals and helping them unlock their full potential. We understand that each person is unique and has their own dreams and aspirations.

Here at CROSSTRAINERS we don’t consider an individual fit just because he or she has great muscular strength or has great stamina or the flexibility of a contortionist.
Our definition of Fitness means that an individual must have a reasonable combination comprising of ALL the requisites below.
STRENGTH + FLEXIBILITY + VO2 MAX(Cardiovascular/Stamina strength)
And this must be combined with a Holistic, stress-manageable lifestyle. Only then can one be said to have a Fit and Balanced body. This is our philosophy and we work with all our clients in achieving this.

I decided to start loosing weight and getting myself healthier after years of late night suppers and entertaining clients. I was slowly reaching 300 pounds in body weight.
And it wasn’t muscle weight. I was obese and huge. I was physically a wreck and the constant pain I was suffering from gout and my sleep apnea and my high cholesterol and knee pains, eventually made me realize I had to do something positive.
It was also the concern of two very close friends that made a bet with me to loose weight and get myself healthier that drove me to get started.
With the proper training to get me started, the balance between inspiring and pushing me and giving me the motivation when I most needed it and the nutritional advice and guidance, after about 4 months of training 6 days a week, I lost over 40 pounds.
Alvin made me realize that it was a total lifestyle and mindset change that was needed and not something fast or temporary. I continue to live that way nowadays and he probably saved my life.

After having been diligently training with my PT at CROSSTRAINERS for the past 8 months or so, a business trip to our London office was placed on my itinerary.
After arriving I bumped into an acquaintance that I had worked with whilst he was stationed in Singapore a few years ago.
He couldn’t placed where we met but said that I reminded him of someone he knew when he was in Singapore but that person was a lot chubbier and heavy set.
When I asked him who that person was, he mentioned my name. I had a good laugh and re-introduced myself to him once again. Obliviously he couldn’t recognize the ‘new’ me.
That spoke volumes of my progress and the effectiveness of my training.
